The lead single BAD OMEN explores the painful realisation of ignoring red flags in relationships, using superstition as a metaphor for emotional self-sabotage. Kevin’s lyricism is sharp, vulnerable, and laced with wit. Other standouts like I THINK I NEED THERAPY! and STRANGER lay bare his mental health journey and identity struggles, while ORBIT and DELULU lean into the chaos and complexity of his queer experience through an angsty, pop-punk lens.
After writing more than 50 songs over the past two years, Kevin handpicked these eight tracks as the most cohesive and personal. “I’ve never felt more certain — or more ready — to make my debut and share my vision with the world,” he says. The visuals of O2 lean into y2k-emo nostalgia: cherry red lighting, ripped jeans, and smeared eyeliner glares.
To celebrate, Kevin is hosting his biggest headline show yet on July 18 at The Toff in Melbourne. The O2 launch promises a theatrical, immersive experience where fans will hear the EP in full, along with fan favourites, surprise moments, and a stacked support lineup. “It’s going to be heartfelt, expressive, and just the right amount of unhinged,” Kevin teases.
